I have created the perfect post-workout meal and I'm so excited to share it with you! When you've finished training you want to refuel your body as soon as possible. There are two macros that are important to eat post-workout - carbohydrates and protein. Carbohydrates are the body's main source of fuel, working out requires the body to breakdown carbs and convert them into energy therefor making it important to replensih the body by consuming more carbohydrates after workingout. Protein is important as it helps repair and build the muscle tissue that has been damaged whilst training. My cookie skillet is high in both protein and carbs and of course is super delicious!
This yummy protein cookie can be eates as a snack or meal! Its super satiating as its mainly made of oats which is a slow-releasing carbohydrate. The method I use to bake the cookie creates a crispy exterior with a soft and squishy middle.
I would love to know how you protein cookie turned out so leave me a comment below or tag me on Instagram @healthylivingellie.
