Green protein smoothie

This recipe makes the perfect summer breakfast smoothie or post-workout smoothie. It's high in protein and is simple to make. Some mornings you may not feel like a sit-down breakfast, I definitely get this some days and have found that making a smoothie really hits the spot! It's also perfect if you're in a hurry and need something to grab when on the move. You can make smoothies the night before so it's all ready for breakfast.
I used to think smoothies were just blended fruit and would leave me feeling more hungry than I was before! But I have now been converted to a smoothie lover as there are SO many different ingredients that can be added other than fruit!
I found that adding protein powder to my smoothies definitely helps to keep me feeling more satiated. The fruit is a good source of carbohydrates which will provide you with energy for the morning! One of the great things about smoothies is its a brilliant way to sneak some extra veggies into your diet. If you or your kids are not the biggest lovers of vegetables try adding a handful of spinach to your smoothie, Youll get all the great nutrients without the taste!
