High Protein Chocolate and banana Oatmeal

Updated: Jun 18

Oats are a staple food in my diet as they're so versatile and can be used in so many different recipes. Its high fibre content is also a great benefit as it keeps me feeling satiated for a long time. Oats are a slow-releasing carbohydrate which makes it a perfect breakfast meal, releasing energy throughout the morning.

This recipe is a classic porridge, with added protein and made in a quick and easy way. Plus it includes lots of chocolate of course!.

To make this oatmeal you will need:

50g oats (I used Gluten-free rolled oats)

25g of your favourite protein powder. This recipe works really nicely with a chocolate favoured protein powder.

Toppings:

A medium banana

A handful of walnuts, coconut chips, chocolate chips and hemp seeds.

First, pour the oats and protein powder into a microwave-safe bowl and mix. Add water to cover the oats and put into the microwave on a medium setting for three minutes. Take it out every minute and mix it.

Once it's ready add your toppings.

Enjoy!!
